VIP Listing Benefits: Boost Your Metin2 Server's Visibility

Climbing the vote ranking takes time, and for a newly opened server the first days are precious. A Metin2 VIP server listing shows your server in the very top section of the home page with a gold-highlighted card. Here's what VIP gives you, what it doesn't change, when it pays off most and how to buy it in the control panel.

What is a VIP listing?

VIP means your server is featured in the top section of the home page for a set period. As the About Us and Ranking Rules page states, the first five positions on the home page can be reserved for VIP servers, and any empty positions are filled by vote count. If there are more than five VIP servers, the ones with more votes come first in this area. VIP cards are highlighted in gold and always labeled "VIP", so players know they're looking at a promotional area.

When the VIP period ends, the feature is removed automatically and your server returns to the normal listing. Your votes and other details aren't affected.

What VIP gives you

  • Visibility at first glance: The home page is one of the first places players see servers, and the VIP area sits at its very top.
  • A card that stands out: The gold-highlighted card keeps your server from getting lost in a crowded list.
  • A spot that doesn't depend on votes: As long as there are no more than five VIP servers, a server appears at the top of the home page for its whole VIP period, even without any votes yet.
  • Timing you can plan: You can line VIP up with the period when you need players most, such as launch week or a new season.

What doesn't VIP change?

Our list's credibility rests on the fact that the ranking can't be bought. That's why you should know VIP's limits:

Method What it gets you Effect on the vote ranking
VIP listing A gold-highlighted card in the top section of the home page None
Player votes Your position on the best servers, category and level pages Decides it directly
Backlink bonus 100 likes once a day and the "Verified" badge Added to the weekly vote counter

The best servers and category pages are sorted by vote count regardless of VIP status. VIP doesn't bring a server votes, comments, ratings or badges either. In short, VIP is a shop window that brings players to your server; keeping them there and getting them to vote is still up to you.

When does VIP pay off most?

  • Launch period: You need new players most in the days before launch and during launch week; VIP then puts your server at the top of the home page as well as in the launch calendar. We walk through launch prep step by step in our launch day planning guide.
  • A new season or a big update: A good chance to bring back players who've taken a break from your server.
  • Special events: It can boost turnout ahead of a big tournament or an anniversary event.

If your server isn't ready, you can put VIP off. If a player coming from the home page runs into a broken download link or an empty Discord, that visit is wasted.

Getting the most out of VIP

  • Refresh your banner: On the VIP card, too, your banner is the first thing players see. For sizes and design principles, see our banner guide.
  • Update your description: A player who clicks the card lands on your server page, so your text should be up to date and convincing. Our server description guide shows you how.
  • Keep your vote link ready: Turn the players VIP brings in into voters, and your server gets a chance to climb the vote ranking too.
  • Prepare your Discord: Answer new players' questions quickly during VIP; their first impression of your server often forms there.
  • Measure the results: Compare visits and sign-ups on your own site before and during VIP, so you can decide with data whether you need it next time.
  • Plan for afterward: If you turn the players you gain during VIP into a community that votes regularly, you'll stay visible through your place in the vote ranking after VIP ends, too.

How do you buy VIP?

You buy VIP yourself in the control panel with Cash, our site's virtual points:

  1. Open the My Servers page in the control panel.
  2. Click the Upgrade to VIP button on your server's card; if your VIP is still running, the button reads Extend VIP. VIP can only be bought for live (active) servers.
  3. On the page that opens, check the daily VIP fee and your Cash balance, choose the number of days and press Upgrade Server to VIP.

Cash for the number of days you chose is deducted from your balance, and VIP starts right away. If you buy again while VIP is running, the new days are added on top of the remaining time.

How do you earn Cash? Daily logins, approved comments, likes on blog posts and adding servers earn you Cash; daily earnings have a cap. You can track the Cash you've earned on the My Cash Records page in the panel. Cash has no monetary value, can't be cashed out and can't be transferred to another account. Opening multiple accounts to collect Cash is forbidden under our membership agreement; Cash and VIP obtained through abuse can be revoked.

For ad slots or a special request, you can write to us through the contact page.
