Metin2 Guild Guide: Founding a Guild, Guild Skills and Guild Land
In Metin2, a guild is where players chasing the same goals come together: you enter dungeons together, stand shoulder to shoulder in wars, and guild skills make your guild stronger. Founding your own guild, however, takes leadership, patience and planning. This guide covers the requirements for founding a guild in Metin2, guild skills and Guild Land step by step. The information is based on the official servers; Pvp servers usually adapt the guild system to their own version.
How do you found a guild?
- Requirements: On the official servers, you need to be at least level 40 and pay 200,000 Yang. You found the guild by talking to the Guardian in a village of your own kingdom.
- Name: A guild name can be up to 12 characters long, can't contain Turkish-specific characters and must not already be taken.
- Cooldown: After you leave or get kicked from a guild, on the official servers you can't found a new guild or join another one for 7 days.
- Logo: Once the guild reaches level 3, the leader can upload a 16x12 pixel logo. JPG, GIF, BMP and TGA are supported; PNG can't be used.
You open the guild window with Alt+G. If you start your chat message with %, only your guild members will see it.
Permissions and guild management
The leader can set up to 14 ranks and give each rank its own permissions. The available permissions are: inviting players, kicking members, writing on the notice board, using guild skills, choosing who joins guild wars, and using the guild bank and warehouse.
- Hand out the kick permission carefully. Give it only to members you've known and trusted for a long time.
- Limit bank and warehouse access. Items going in and out of the warehouse are logged, but that won't bring a lost item back.
- Passing on leadership: To hand over leadership, you need a Ring of Successor. The leader starts a vote, and more than half of the members have to vote for the handover to go through.
Guild level
A guild levels up with the experience points its members donate. With each new level, the guild gets skill points and Dragon God Power, and its member limit goes up: on the official servers, the limit is 32 at level 1 and rises with the guild level. When the guild reaches level 3, it gets access to the guild version of Meley's Lair. In the current official version, the maximum guild level is 40, and after level 20 you level up with Yang or Donation Tickets instead of experience.
Guild skills
The basic guild skills are improved with the points the guild earns as it levels up, and they go up to level 7. Every use draws on the guild's Dragon God Power; when it runs out, you refill it with Yang.
| Skill | Effect | At level 7 |
|---|---|---|
| Blood of Dragon God | Max. HP | +20% |
| Benediction of Dragon God | Max. SP | +20% |
| Holy Armour | Defense | +10% |
| Acceleration | Movement and attack speed | +30% |
| Wrath of the Dragon God | Critical hit chance | +50% |
| Casting Aid | Casting speed | +50% |
The skills' cooldowns range from 8 to 10 minutes. The current official version also added Balathor's skills, which protect against effects such as faint, stun and knockback. Spend your points according to your guild's focus: for a Pvp-focused guild, Acceleration and Wrath of the Dragon God stand out; for a dungeon-focused guild, Blood of Dragon God and Holy Armour.
Guild Land and buildings
Guild Land is found in the first villages and in guild areas such as Jungrang, Waryong, Imha, Miryang, Songpa and Daeyami. The Land Agent on empty plots only lets the guild leader buy. On the official servers, buying land requires a certain guild level and a large amount of Yang in the guild bank; since plots are limited, they're valuable among strong guilds.
- Lease: Land comes with a daily lease. If it isn't paid, the guild loses the land and all the items in the warehouse. If you think you won't be able to pay, empty the warehouse in advance.
- Buildings: First you build the main building. After that, you can add buildings such as blacksmiths that specialize in weapons, armor or jewelry, alchemists that refine ores, the Altar of Power, which raises the member limit, and the Guild Warehouse.
- Income: The guild earns Yang from the work done at the blacksmith and alchemist on its land, and this income goes into the guild bank. The leader can set the facilities' fees and who may use them.
We explain the guild blacksmith's upgrade advantage in our upgrade guide.
Guild wars
To send a war invitation to another guild, both guilds need at least 8 members. The type, duration and score of the war are set in the invitation; field battles, arena battles and capture the flag are the best-known types. Guilds on Pvp servers
Most Pvp servers use an older or modified guild system; land prices, skill values and level caps vary by server. Some servers also run guild rankings and guild-only events. If you're looking for members for your guild, use the server's Discord and our forum. To find servers with active guild wars, look at the best servers list ranked by player votes.
Frequently asked questions
At what level can you found a guild in Metin2?
On the official servers, you need to reach level 40 and pay 200,000 Yang. You found the guild by talking to the Guardian in the village.
How are guild skills improved?
The guild earns skill points every time it levels up. The leader distributes these points among the skills; the basic skills go up to level 7, and every use costs Dragon God Power.
How do you get Guild Land?
The guild leader buys land by talking to the Land Agent on an empty plot. On the official servers, it takes a certain guild level and Yang in the guild bank, and then a daily lease is due.
Can guild leadership be handed over to someone else?
Yes. With a Ring of Successor, the leader starts a vote; if more than half of the members vote, leadership is handed over and the former leader becomes a regular member.
