Metin2 Demon Tower Guide: Every Floor and the Tower Blacksmith
The Demon Tower is one of the best-known dungeons in Metin2. Every floor has a different task: Metin stones, bosses, fake keys and, at the very top, a final boss waiting for you. On top of that, the blacksmith who appears on the 6th floor gives you a unique chance to upgrade your gear. Below you'll find the tower floor by floor. The information is based on the official servers; Pvp servers may have changed the floors and rewards.
Where is the Demon Tower and who can enter?
- Entrance: Talk to the Demon Tower Guard on the Hwang Temple map.
- Level: You can enter from level 40. To go above the 6th floor, at least one player in the group must be level 75 or higher.
- Time limit: You can stay in the dungeon for up to 3 hours.
- Leaving: Logging out takes you back to Hwang Temple. If you die and choose "Revive in the city", you're teleported to your home town.
The Demon Tower floor by floor
1st floor: Metin of Toughness
Destroy the Metin of Toughness and every player on the floor moves up. A broken Metin takes a while to respawn, so don't break it before the whole group is ready.
2nd floor: Kill all monsters
Clear every monster on the floor to move on. From here on the monsters are aggressive and attack you as soon as they see you.
3rd floor: Demon King
Defeat the monsters first, then the Demon King. It's easier if a tough character pulls the monsters while the group's damage dealers focus on the boss.
4th floor: Metin of Devil and Metins of Fall
Destroying the Metin of Devil spawns 7 Metins of Fall on the map. Only one of them is the right one, and you have to find and destroy it. Splitting the group in two and breaking them in parallel saves time.
5th floor: Ancient Seals
Collect the Key Stones dropped by the monster waves and use them on the Ancient Seals. At the southernmost point of the map there's a spot with few monsters, known as the "safe zone", where you can recover when your HP gets low.
6th floor: Proud Demon King and the Demon Tower Blacksmith
Your goal on this floor is to defeat the Proud Demon King. The monsters on the floor attack you in the meantime, so make sure your buffs are active and your potions are ready before you take on the boss.
After the boss falls, the Demon Tower Blacksmith appears. He turns up at random as a Weaponsmith, Armorsmith or Jeweler and offers a chance to upgrade your gear without the materials the regular Blacksmith asks for. Decide which item you'll use it on before you enter the dungeon. Our upgrade guide covers the upgrade system in detail.
7th floor: Metins of Death and Metin of Murder
To reach the upper floors, a player of level 75 or above has to talk to the blacksmith; then everyone on the floor moves up to the 7th floor. On the 7th floor, destroy the four Metins of Death; breaking the Metin of Murder that appears next takes you straight to the 8th floor.
8th floor: Zin-Bong-In Key
Find the real Zin-Bong-In Key among the keys the monsters drop and take it to Sa-Soe. Fake "Bong-In" keys drop too, so check the name of every key you pick up.
Final floor: Death Reaper
The final boss, Death Reaper, waits at the top of the tower with his monsters. Once you defeat him, the group is automatically teleported back to the entrance.
Suggested group setup
- A tough front line: A sturdy character such as a Mental Warrior pulls the monsters.
- Healer: A Healing Force Shaman keeps the group alive, especially on the 3rd, 6th and final floors.
- Area damage: Characters with strong area damage, such as a Body Warrior or a Weaponry Sura, clear the monster waves fast.
- Fast Metin breakers: Two high-damage players speed up the Metins on the 4th and 7th floors.
