Metin2 Nemere Guide: Nemere's Watchtower Tactics
The ice-element boss Nemere waits for you on the top floor of Nemere's Watchtower on Mount Sohan. What sets this dungeon apart is that some floors can only be cleared with a Shaman or a Ninja; a badly built group gets stuck halfway up the tower. Here are the entry requirements of the Metin2 Nemere dungeon, the tasks floor by floor and how to defeat Nemere. The information follows the setup on the official servers; Pvp servers can change the requirements and rewards.
Nemere's Watchtower entry requirements
- Entry: You get in by talking to the Ice Land Guardian on Mount Sohan.
- Level: You can enter from level 100.
- Group: Your group needs at least one Shaman and one Ninja. To complete the dungeon, the Shaman must also have learned the Dragon Force skills.
- Mounts: You can't use mounts anywhere in the dungeon.
- Time: According to the official English wiki, you have 1 hour for all floors; if you disconnect, you have 5 minutes to come back.
- Cooldown: After leaving the dungeon, you have to wait 4 hours before entering again.
Why do you need a Shaman and a Ninja?
| Floor | Task | Who's needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Floor 2 | Find the Frost Key | Only Shamans can use the key |
| Floor 4 | Kill all monsters | The Blessing skill is required |
| Floor 6 | Destroy the Metin of Cold | Only Shamans can damage the Metin |
| Floor 7 | Find and kill the right Szel | Dealing damage requires the Dragon's Strength skill |
| Floor 8 | Find the Frostflower Key | Only Ninjas can drop the key |
Blessing and Dragon's Strength are Dragon Force Shaman skills, so the Shaman in your group needs to have chosen that path; we covered the build in our Dragon Force Shaman guide. If possible, go in with two Shamans and two Ninjas; then if one of them disconnects or leaves, your group won't get stuck in the tower.
Nemere's Watchtower floor by floor
- Floors 1 and 3: Kill all monsters.
- Floor 2: Find the right key among the Frost Keys that monsters drop; the Shaman should try them.
- Floor 4: Kill all monsters. According to the English wiki, two waves come, so the Shaman mustn't forget to refresh Blessing on the group.
- Floor 5: Collect North Stars from monsters and drag them onto the Arctic Cube. According to the English wiki, the seals must be opened in the right order.
- Floor 6: Clear the ice monsters and destroy the Metin of Cold; only Shamans can damage it.
- Floor 7: Find and kill the right Szel. The level 107 Szel summons Frost Generals; you need Dragon's Strength to deal damage.
- Floor 8: Collect the Frostflower Key and use the right key to teleport to floor 9. Only Ninjas can drop this key.
- Floor 9: Destroy the North Dragon Pillar. Only Ninjas and Shamans can damage the pillar.
- Final floor: Defeat Nemere.
Know Nemere and how to fight it
Nemere is a level 108 boss of the ice element. During the fight, it summons the level 105 Frost General; its hits can stun, and they double in strength when its HP gets low. It also deals skill damage, so the Resistance against Skill Damage bonus reduces the damage you take from it.
- Split off the Generals: The Frost General's hits can poison. A tanky character should keep them away from Nemere.
- Refresh your buffs: Renew Blessing and Dragon's Strength before they run out; the Shaman is the key player in this fight.
- Keep the group together: A scattered group loses touch with its healing and buffs. Everyone should stay in the same area.
- Prepare for ice: Gear that gives ice resistance takes weight off the group.
- Save power for the final phase: Its hits get harder when its HP is low; keep your potions and protective skills for that moment.
