Where Does the Metin2 Blessing Scroll Drop?

Where Does the Metin2 Blessing Scroll Drop?

The Blessing Scroll is one of the items you need most when upgrading: if an upgrade fails, your item isn't destroyed, it only drops one grade. That's why it's in demand on almost every server, for your own gear and for the market. This guide covers which monsters, Metins, bosses and chests drop the Blessing Scroll in Metin2, and where to farm it at each level. The information is based on the official servers; Pvp servers can change drops and drop rates.

What does the Blessing Scroll do?

  • Purpose: You use it when upgrading gear. If the upgrade fails, the item isn't destroyed; its grade drops by 1.
  • Trading: On the official servers, it can be traded and sold on the market, and it stacks.
  • Don't mix it up: Blessing Scroll B does the same job but is a separate item that can't be traded. The Blessing Marble, which adds the 5th bonus, is something else entirely.

We explained upgrade strategy in our upgrade guide; here we focus only on where to find Blessing Scrolls.

Drops from monsters: the level 50 rule

On the official servers, the Blessing Scroll can come from monsters as an alternative drop once your character reaches level 50. Keep two rules in mind:

  • Level difference: If you're 10 or more levels above the monster you kill, the chance of an alternative drop falls sharply. Farm in areas close to your own level.
  • Sung Ma Invasion: Monsters that appear during the Sung Ma Invasion can drop Blessing Scrolls too.

Metins that drop the Blessing Scroll

Of the classic Metins between level 5 and 90, only the ones in the Red Forest drop Blessing Scrolls. All other Metin sources are on level 95+ maps.

Level Metin Map
85 Metin Tu-Young Red Forest
90 Metin Jeon-Un Red Forest
95 Metin of Gloom, Metin of Ember Cape Dragon Fire, Nephrite Bay
100 Metin of Vanity Nephrite Bay
100 Metin of Wrath Thunder Mountains, Gautama Cliff
100 Purgatory Fire Metin Red Dragon Fortress
100 Metin of Cold Nemere's Watchtower
105 Metin of Calamity, Metin of Malice Thunder Mountains, Gautama Cliff
120 Metin of the Forest Enchanted Forest
120 Fire, Ice, Wind, Earth, Time and Space Serpent Metins Serpent Temple
120 Metin of the Jin, Metin of the Shiho, Metin of Appreciation, Metin of Mindfulness, Metin of Perception and Metin of Gumar Nam Gwang Chasm, Yilad Pass, Seo Gwang Wastelands, Northwind Canyon, Soul Gorge

Bosses and chests

  • Bosses that leave chests: Blessing Scrolls can come from the chests of the Chief Orc (50, Valley of Seungryong), Nine Tails (72, Mount Sohan), the Flame King (73, Doyyumhwan), the Yellow Tiger Ghost (75, Hwang Temple) and Azrael (91, Devil's Catacomb). The Queen Spider Box is on this list too.
  • Bosses and strong monsters that drop it directly: Beran-Setaou (97, Dragon's Temple), the Gnoll Lord and Bone Face (103, Cape Dragon Fire), General Kappa (103, Nephrite Bay), The Great Ogre (107, Gautama Cliff), Razador (108, Red Dragon Fortress) and Nemere (108, Nemere's Watchtower).
  • Other sources: The Iron Box, various Ebony Boxes, dungeon reward chests and the Destruction Chests. The Tombola and the Item Shop are also official sources.

Where should you farm at each level?

  1. Level 50-75: Keep killing monsters suited to your level and chase boss chests: the Chief Orc in the Valley of Seungryong, Nine Tails on Mount Sohan, the Flame King in Doyyumhwan and the Yellow Tiger Ghost in the Hwang Temple.
  2. Level 85-95: Metin Tu-Young and Metin Jeon-Un in the Red Forest drop both Blessing Scrolls and Soul Stones, so you can combine this map with the plan in our Soul Stone guide. If you have a group, Azrael in the Devil's Catacomb is another good target.
  3. Level 95-105: On Cape Dragon Fire and in Nephrite Bay, take down the Gnoll Lord, Bone Face and General Kappa along with the Metins; in the Thunder Mountains and at Gautama Cliff, destroy the Metins of Wrath, Malice and Calamity.
  4. Level 105 and above: Razador and Nemere, plus the Metins on the level 120 maps, are the main sources.

On Oldschool servers built on older versions, most of the maps above level 95 may be missing; in that case, check the server's own drop list. Some Pvp servers sell Blessing Scrolls in a shop or hand them out as event rewards. You can ask other players about the current sources on your server on our forum.

Frequently asked questions

At what level does the Blessing Scroll start to drop?

On the official servers, it can drop from monsters once your character reaches level 50. Killing monsters close to your own level keeps that chance up.

Which Metin drops the Blessing Scroll?

Among the classic Metins, Metin Tu-Young and Metin Jeon-Un in the Red Forest drop it. Metins of level 95 and above, such as the Metins of Gloom, Ember, Vanity, Wrath and Calamity, also give them.

Are the Blessing Scroll and Blessing Scroll B the same?

Both protect your item when an upgrade fails and lower its grade by 1. The difference: Blessing Scroll B can't be traded, while the Blessing Scroll can be bought and sold on the official servers.

Does the Blessing Scroll drop in the same places on Pvp servers?

Not always. Servers can change drop lists, rates and shop contents. Check the server's guide before you play; you can compare different servers on the best servers list.
