Metin2 Body Warrior Guide: Skill Order, Stats and Bonuses

With high melee damage, fast attacks and a charge that stuns opponents, the Body Warrior is one of the most aggressive skill groups in Metin2. With the right skill order, stat distribution and bonuses, you can put serious pressure on opponents both while grinding and in Pvp. This Metin2 Body Warrior guide introduces the skills by their official names and explains the order to level them in and which bonuses to prioritize.

Body Warrior skills

The information below is based on the skill pages of the official wiki:

Skill Type What does it do?
Aura of the Sword Buff Raises your attack value for a set time; its effect grows with Strength (STR).
Berserk Buff Raises attack and movement speed; while it's active, the melee and arrow damage you take also goes up.
Sword Spin Attack Spins your sword to hit the enemies around you, up to 12 targets.
Dash Attack Charges at the target and can stun the character you aimed at.
Three-Way Cut Attack Strikes three separate times and hits up to 5 opponents at once.
Life Force Attack Channels all your strength into one heavy blow; its cooldown is longer than that of the other attack skills.

On the official servers, the later-added Ward and Boost skills and Earthquake, which unlocks at champion level, aren't available on every Pvp server. This guide focuses on the six core skills you'll find on almost every server.

Skill order

The official wiki's Body Warrior guide suggests this order:

  1. Aura of the Sword: The first skill to take to Master, since it strengthens all your hits.
  2. Sword Spin: Speeds up grinding because it hits many monsters at once.
  3. Berserk: Raises attack speed, which speeds up both your regular hits and monster killing.
  4. Three-Way Cut: One of your main sources of damage in duels.
  5. Dash: Closes the distance to your opponent and can stun them.

You can put your remaining points into Life Force, which isn't on the list. If you mainly play Pvp, consider leveling Dash earlier; it's the move that opens duels, especially against ranged classes. Just keep in mind that, according to official data, Dash's chance to stun drops considerably if your opponent has the Defence against faint bonus.

Stat distribution

According to the official wiki, the stats affect the Warrior like this:

  • Strength (STR): Directly raises attack value. Aura of the Sword, Three-Way Cut and Life Force also scale with Strength.
  • Vitality (VIT): Each point raises max HP by 40 and also increases defense.
  • Dexterity (DEX): Raises the multiplier on your weapon's attack value and your evasion; it also adds to the damage of Sword Spin and Dash.
  • Intelligence (INT): For the Warrior it only adds SP and magic defense, and it's not part of the official recommendation.

The wiki recommends raising Strength and Vitality to 90 in roughly a 1:1 ratio, then moving on to Dexterity; for the Body group, Strength always comes first. If your gear is strong, push Strength a little further for a more aggressive style; if your gear is weak or you hold the front line in guild wars, push Vitality ahead and play tougher.

Bonus tips for Pvp

We explain how bonuses are changed in our bonus guide. The priorities below are based on the official servers' bonus lists; Pvp servers can change bonuses and their caps.

Attack bonuses

  • Strong against Half Humans: Increases damage against players and can appear on weapons, helmets, shields, earrings and bracelets. Make it your first goal in Pvp.
  • Average Damage and Skill Damage: Average Damage boosts regular hits, Skill Damage boosts skills. On the official servers, these two only appear on certain weapons (such as level 30, 75 and 105 weapons). If you rely on fast regular hits with Berserk, Average Damage is worth more; if you rely on Three-Way Cut and Dash combos, Skill Damage is.
  • Critical and piercing hits: A critical hit doubles the damage; according to the official wiki its chance is lower with skills, so it is mostly felt on regular hits. A piercing hit ignores the opponent's defense, but its chance against players is well below the bonus value. Don't put these two ahead of Strong against Half Humans.

Defensive bonuses

  • Max. HP: Since you take more damage while Berserk is active, your HP pool matters.
  • Defence against faint: Largely prevents stuns and appears on shields. A lifesaver against enemy Warriors' Dash.
  • Weapon type defenses: Sword, Two-Handed, Dagger, Arrow, Bell, Fan and Claw Defence reduce damage from non-magical attacks. Pick them based on the weapon of the class you fight most on your server.
  • Magic Resistance: Reduces damage from Sura and Shaman spells.

Gameplay and gear tips

  • Weapon choice: According to the official wiki, the Body Warrior plays more efficiently with a one-handed sword on foot and with a two-handed weapon on horseback.
  • Activate your buffs in advance: Turn on Aura of the Sword before the duel starts and refresh it before it runs out.
  • Use Berserk wisely: Turn it on when you have the upper hand. Think twice before using it against an Archery Ninja or several melee fighters.
  • Build your combo: Close the distance with Dash, and the moment your opponent is stunned, unload your damage with Three-Way Cut and Sword Spin.
  • Upgrade your weapon: Upgrade levels directly affect your damage; to reduce the risk, check our upgrade guide.

Frequently asked questions

What's the most important stat for a Body Warrior?

Strength. It raises both your attack value and the effect of Aura of the Sword. Don't neglect Vitality, though, because you take more damage while Berserk is active.

Which weapon should a Body Warrior use?

Warriors can use one-handed swords and two-handed weapons. The official wiki recommends a sword on foot and a two-handed weapon on horseback for the Body group. Weapon stats can differ on Pvp servers, so check the server's item list too.

Should I keep Berserk on all the time?

No. Berserk raises attack and movement speed, but while it's active, the melee and arrow damage you take also goes up. Turn it on when you have the upper hand, and be careful with it in crowded fights.

Which is stronger, Body or Mental?

The Body group offers high damage and pressure, while the Mental group offers toughness and stuns. We explain the differences between the two groups in our skill group quest guide.
