Metin2 Pvp Against Warriors: How to Stop a Warrior
The Warrior is one of the classes you'll face most often in Metin2 Pvp: high melee damage, stuns that nail opponents to the spot and serious toughness in the Mental group. The way to beat a Warrior in Pvp is to know their tools and go in prepared for each one. This article covers the Warrior's most dangerous skills and how to neutralize them. The skill information is based on the official servers; Pvp servers can change skill values.
The Warrior's toolkit
A Warrior picks one of two skill groups: the aggressive Body group or the tough Mental group. Knowing which group the Warrior in front of you plays shapes your plan from the start.
| Skill | Group | Effect on the official servers | Your answer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dash | Body | Charges in and hits up to 4 opponents; can stun the character it targets | Defence against faint on your shield |
| Berserk | Body | Raises attack and movement speed, but also the melee and arrow damage taken | Don't retreat in this window; hit back |
| Aura of the Sword | Body | Raises attack value for a set time | Track its duration |
| Sword Spin | Body | Hits up to 12 opponents | Spread out in group fights |
| Strong Body | Mental | Raises defense, lowers movement speed | Keep your distance |
| Stump | Mental | Hits up to 10 opponents with a chance to stun | Defence against faint again |
You'll find the Body group in detail in our Body Warrior guide.
Bonuses and gear against Warriors
The first step in stopping a Warrior happens before the duel:
- Defence against faint: Appears on shields and, according to the official wiki, greatly reduces the chance of being stunned. Against a character with this bonus, Dash's chance to stun also drops considerably.
- Defence against Warrior: Reduces the damage you take from Warrior characters; it only works against players.
- Sword and Two-Handed Defence: Warriors can fight with a one-handed sword or with a two-handed weapon. Look at your opponent's weapon and pick the matching defense.
- Chance to block a close-combat attack: Appears on shields; a blocked melee hit shows up as "Miss".
- Slowing chance: Lowers the opponent's movement speed for a while and makes it harder for the Warrior to reach you.
Stopping a Body Warrior
A Body Warrior wants to deal a lot of damage in a short time. Your plan should be to defuse their burst moments.
Neutralize Dash
Dash is the move that opens the Warrior's fights: it closes the distance and can stun you, leaving you open to the skills that follow. Without faint immunity, you're not safe even when there's distance between you and the Warrior. After using Dash, the Warrior can't repeat the charge until its cooldown is over; save your counterattack for that moment.
Turn Berserk into an opening
With Berserk active, the Warrior speeds up, so running away usually doesn't work. But according to the official wiki, the melee damage they take goes up during this time, and so does the damage from arrows. Turning on your defensive skills and hitting back usually works better than running. For archers, this is when the Warrior is most vulnerable.
Watch for gaps between buffs
In the official tables, the cooldowns of Berserk and Aura of the Sword are a few seconds longer than their durations. When a buff ends, the Warrior can't renew it right away; this short gap can be your window to attack.
Stopping a Mental Warrior
A Mental Warrior wants to drag you into a long fight and wear you down.
- Use distance: Since Strong Body lowers movement speed, ranged classes can wear them down from afar.
- Try to pierce the defense: Chance for piercing hits adds the opponent's defense value to your damage; it's valuable against high-defense Warriors.
- Deal percentage damage: Poison deals damage relative to the target's max HP and, according to the official wiki, is only reduced by Poison resistance, percentage defense bonuses and Dark Protection. Against a high-HP tank, that's a big advantage; just remember that poison can't kill on its own and leaves the target at 1 HP.
- Don't count on knockdowns: From G1 on, a Warrior with Strong Body active gains instant fall resistance.
Quick notes by class
- Archery Ninja: Keep your distance and step up the pressure while Berserk is active.
- Blade-Fight Ninja: Wait for them to burn Dash, then get behind them; Ambush deals more damage from behind.
- Sura: Try to strip buffs such as Berserk or Strong Body with Dispel.
- Shaman: Keep your distance; Flying Talisman's slowing chance makes it harder for the Warrior to close in.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Warrior's most dangerous skill?
In 1v1, usually Dash. On the official servers it can stun its target and so open the door to the combo that follows. Defence against faint on your shield cuts this risk considerably.
Should I run from a Warrior while Berserk is active?
Usually not. Berserk also raises movement speed, so escaping is hard; on top of that, the Warrior takes more melee and arrow damage during this time.
Why is the Mental Warrior so tough?
Strong Body raises their defense and, from G1 on, gives instant fall resistance. In return their movement speed drops, and ranged classes can exploit that slowness.
What's the most important bonus against Warriors?
In 1v1, Defence against faint stands out. Adding Defence against Warrior and, depending on the opponent's weapon, Sword or Two-Handed Defence gives you a good foundation.
